Obituary of Scott A. Howell
Scott Andrew Howell, 64, of Commerce City, passed away February 13, 2025. He was born on August 9, 1960, in Denver, Colorado, the son of Keith and Joan Howell.
Scott is survived by his Brothers Bill Howell and Doug Howell, Sister-in-law Janet, Nieces Amy, Jennifer, and Sue, and Nephews Keith, Ricky, Greg, Justin, Jarrett and Tony. He is preceded in death by his Parents Keith and Joan Howell, Brother Raymond Howell, Sister Karen Howell, Sisters-in-law Julie and Vasha, Niece Shannon, and Nephew Ronnie.
Scott is in the everlasting care of his savior, Jesus. During his earthly life, the great love of our Lord shined through Scott. He humbly served others with a listening ear, kind words, and working hands to bring glory to God and share the love of Christ. Scott's community church, Our Saviour Lutheran was dear to his heart. He dutifully cared for his fellow church members and tended to the upkeep of the church and its grounds.
Scott Andrew Howell, a Sargeant in the United States Army, served honorably for 10 years during the Persian Gulf War and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, National Service Defense Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars. Scott loved serving his country and said on multiple occasions that he would do it all over again.
Scott worked for the United States Postal Service, painted and remodeled homes with Task Master, and after acquiring his CDL, became a Truck Driver with ABS Trucking.
Scott was a humble and selfless person, who was known for his kindness and generosity, always readily offering a helping hand to those in need. He was committed to his Family, Friends, Neighbors, Church, and Country.
After being stationed in the Pacific Northwest for part of his military career, Scott fell in love with the area and spoke about wanting to move back there. He enjoyed fishing and watching football, especially the Broncos. Scott listened to a wide range of music but loved the Beatles and Acapella singing. He also loved the Pirates of the Caribbean and had the whole series.
Services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM:
Our Saviour Lutheran Church
6770 Monaco St
Commerce City, CO, 80022

Fort Logan National Cemetery
3698 S. Sheridan Blvd.
Denver, CO 80235
Although Scott talked about planning end of life preparations, the unexpected and untimely nature of Scotts passing has presented an unforeseen hardship as those closest to him wanted to make sure he was honored in his passing and receive the burial he deserved. In lieu of flowers any contributions would be greatly appreciated to cover his services.

I'm so sorry to hear of Scott's passing. I grew up in Commerce City and knew his family. I think Doug was my age. My condolences to his family. R.I.P. Scott.
