Scott James Jordan, 52, a beloved resident of Poughkeepsie, and formerly of Hyde Park, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024, with his family by his side.
Born August 3, 1971, he was the cherished son of Henry J. and Frances A. Jordan. His parents survive.
In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by the joys of his life, his two daughters, Erin and Riley Jordan; two brothers, Thomas, and his husband, Scott, and Kevin and his wife, Erica; and nieces, Emma, Allison and Mackenzie.
He is also survived by devoted friend and mother of his daughters, Susan Jordan, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Born and raised in Rosendale, Scott was known for his natural athletic prowess and his vibrant personality. He spent his time coaching his daughters' sports teams, cheering them on from the sidelines, whether it was in sports or anything they did in life and always made sure everyone around him knew they were loved. His passion for sports, his family and his affable nature led him to excel in the banking industry before transitioning to a successful career in software sales.
A true family man, Scott's devotion to his loved ones extended beyond his immediate family. He was actively involved in the community and dedicated much of his time to the church, particularly during his daughters' school years. Scott's warm presence and genuine care touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 PM, Wednesday, February 7th at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Brendan Fitzgerald at 10 AM, Thursday, February 8th at Regina Coeli Church, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
Burial will follow in the Lawn Crypt Garden at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations to Regional Hospice, ATTN: Philanthropy Dept., 30 Milestone Rd., Danbury, CT 06810, a cause close to Scott's and his family's heart. (www.regionalhospicect.org)
