Scott Michael Kamphorst, age 55 of Hesperia, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Scott was born on March 13, 1968, in Fremont to Klaas and Jane (Pekel) Kamphorst and graduated from Hesperia High School in 1986 and was a lifelong resident of Hesperia. Scott married Rebecca "Becky" (Poling) on June 13, 2013. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. Scott had an infectious laugh, he spent many nights camping, sitting around a campfire and he had a deep love for his Auggie Dog.
Scott is survived by his wife, Rebecca of Hesperia; his son, Jace (Melissa) Kamphorst of Fremont and their children Chloe, Chase, Ava, Hannah, Makenna; his son, Zach (Michelle) Kamphorst of Fremont and their child, Edith; his daughter, Alexis (Kyle) Stygstra of Hesperia; his daughter, Samara (Cody) Hughes of Hesperia and their child Addison; his daughter, Amy (Angel) Jaime of Flatrock and their children Chevy, Alex, Antonio; his daughter Kara (Lee) Hammond of Muskegon and their children Ellie, Jude; his mother, Jane Kamphorst of Tennessee; his brother, Chris Kamphorst of Tennessee; his sister, Dawnn (Rob) Dexter of Hesperia. Scott is preceded by his father, Klaas Kamphorst.
VISITATION : Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. Friends may consider making a donation towards the funeral expenses in honor of Scott. Friends may send a condolence or share a memory with the Kamphorst family online at www.crandellfh.com.
