Scott Keeny Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc. - Dallastown on Oct. 28, 2025.
Scott G. Keeny, of Red Lion, passed away peacefully at WellSpan York Hospital on Monday, October 27, 2025, just one day shy of his 62nd birthday. Born in York, he was the beloved son of Gerald C. and Martha A. (Wantz) Keeny.

Though Scott was nonverbal throughout his life, he shared a special and unmistakable bond with his family and those who cared for him. His gentle spirit and quiet strength spoke volumes, and he touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Scott had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and all things rustic. He loved log homes and cabins, enjoyed watching construction projects, and took pride in maintaining his family's yard. He was especially fond of whitetail deer buck and bull elk. Scott also liked listening to gospel music and had a steadfast faith, knowing his Lord and Savior.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Todd C. Keeny, and his foster brother, Ray Olewiler, along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Clark Dougherty officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Scott's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
