Jimmy was born on October 8, 1943, in Fitzgerald, GA, to the late Russell G. and Hazel P. Keeny, relocating to St. Augustine, FL as a child with his parents. Jimmy was a United States Marine Corps veteran, serving in Vietnam.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William A. Keeny, Russell E. Keeny, and Wallace A. Keeny; his sisters, Linda C. Hacker, and Tilma K. Portivent.
He is survived by his brother Marvin R. Keeny of St. Augustine.
A celebration of life will be held at The Fraternal Order of Eagles, 13 S Dixie Hwy, St. Augustine, on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
Inurnment will take place at a later date in Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors bestowed by the United States Marine Corps.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to The Wounded Warrior Project: https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/, will be appreciated.
