Scott Kirk Obituary

Born January 5, 1979, in Claridon Township, Scott was a graduate of West Geauga High School in Chesterland. From an early age, he had a gift for understanding how things worked and could fix just about anything. A talented mechanic, Scott especially loved tinkering with engines and chainsaws, always finding joy in making something run again.
Scott was happiest outdoors-splitting firewood, working with cars, or casting a line while fishing. He had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved dogs, who were constant companions. He also cherished the simple moments in life, like taking long drives with his mom or spending time with his brother, to whom he was very close.
He will be deeply missed by his mother, Colleen (John Mugnano) Kirk-Mugnano of Highland Heights; his brother, William (Jessica) Kirk of Chardon; nieces, BreAnna (fiancé Tommy Hornyak) Kirk, Nora Kirk, Evelyn Kirk; his aunt Sheila Finnerty, step-brother, John (Kendra) Mugnano Jr. of TN; step-sister, Michelle (Tom) Fornadel of Solon; step-nephews, Johnny and Joey Mugnano, Timothy, Andrew and James Fornadel .
In honor of Scott's love for animals, the family suggests donations be made to Rescue Village, 15463 Chillicothe Road, Novelty, Ohio 44072 or go to www.give.rescuevillage.org. www.give.rescuevillage.org.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m.
