Scott R. LaJeune, 70, of Cumming, GA  passed away September 19, 2023. Scott's journey with Alzheimer's began in the fall of 2018, first noticed while on a trip to Israel with his First Redeemer Church Family. As the disease rapidly progressed over the last 5 years, Scott and Carolyn recognized many miracles performed by God and are grateful for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the love from their family, friends and church family.  Scott will now rejoice in peace with his Lord and Savior.   Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Vida Ruth LaJeune, He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Carolyn Mixon; Sons and Daughter in-Laws,  Ryan and Sonia LaJeune, Rick and Elizabeth LaJeune, Andy LaJeune and Veronica Timas, Brian and Audrey Mixon and adopted into the family Cyndi and Jackson Hurst.  Step-mother Shirley LaJeune, Brother Todd LaJeune and Sister Lori LaJeune. Grandchildren; John David, Helen, Kate, Landyn, Lane, Laurel, and Juliana.    Scott graduated from the University of Florida in 1975.  Everyone that knew Scott knew that he was a diehard Gator fan doing his best to live in a household with a UGA bulldog!    A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 1, 2023, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Armes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.    GO GATORS!
