It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scott Clay Landrum, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who left us on August 11, 2024, at the age of 60.

Scott was born in Rome, Georgia on December 31, 1963 to Margie Landrum (maiden name Sherman, born in Shannon, Georgia on March 20, 1937) and Merriel Landrum II (born in Gordon County, Georgia on April 25, 1938). Scott grew up in Adairsville, Georgia and graduated from Adairsville High School. He worked at Fafner and Thrall Car in Georgia and studied to become a Mechanical Engineer at Southern Tech University and later finished his degree at University of Texas Arlington. He moved to Arlington, Texas to work at Burlington Northern Railroad and met his wife LaVonda Landrum (Slabaugh) when the railroad merged with Santa Fe Railroad. They married July 12, 1997 and he welcomed his step-son Brandon Jordan. February 20th, 1999, he and LaVonda (Pug) welcomed their daughter Peyton Landrum.

He founded his own company called Transportation Technology Services which he managed until retirement in April 2017. He was well respected by everyone in the railroad industry. Throughout his retirement, he enjoyed spending time at the family lake house in Hot Springs, Arkansas, gardening, drinking IPAs, watching and going to Rangers and Cowboys games, and taking care of the family dog Zoey.

Scott Clay Landrum is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, LaVonda (Pug) Landrum. He is also survived by his cherished daughter, Peyton Landrum, his step-son, Brandon Jordan, his mother Margie Landrum, and his father Merriel Landrum II. Scott's siblings include his sister, Deb Holland (Landrum), and her daughters, Montana Holland and Taylor Fuquea (Holland); his brothers, Miles Landrum and William Landrum, and his cousin Frankie Sherman.
