Scott Richard Moore, age 58, joined our Lord and others who have gone before us on November 16, 2025 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
Scott made the courageous decision to have quality of life over quantity and lived his last days surrounded by family and friends.
Scott loved to bowl, golf, hunt and cheer his beloved Iowa State Cyclones. His favorite pro teams were the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. Scott is a 20-plus year member of Cobia Lodge and Harmony Chapter #25. In 2022 Scott joined the Tangier Shrine and loved being a part of the Racer's. He never met a stranger and made all feel welcomed in his presence.
Scott was welcomed into heaven by his grandparents, Forrest and Maxine Moore, Calvin and Helen Bryson, uncles, Kevin Bryson, Kenneth "Kenny" Moore and William "Bill" Moore and many more family and friends.
Left to cherish Scott's love are his parents, Richard and Janet Moore; daughter, Brianne; wife, Stacey; brother, Jon; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins including his aunt Ramie. Special friends, Brian Olsen, Rob Theobald and Robert and Catherine Schafer are close friends that became family and cherish Scott.
Scott's wishes were to be cremated.
Visitation and a light dinner will take place on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 at 5:30pm with a Masonic and Eastern Star service at 6:30 pm followed by the Memorial Service at 7:00 pm all at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home.
Scott has requested that everyone come dressed casual and wear clothes representing your favorite team (preferably Iowa State).
A private family interment will take place at a later date.
Memorials will be directed by the family.
