Scott Oldaker

Scott Oldaker, age 61, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at WVU Medicine St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born December 26, 1963, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Burton and Ruth Oldaker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Oldaker and one sister, Marsha Allman. He is survived by his wife, Tammie Oldaker of Buckhannon; one son, Travis Oldaker of Buckhannon; one daughter, Mandy Dean and husband Blaine of Buckhannon; daughter-in-law, Kayla Hilliard of Buckhannon; two grandchildren, Nevaeh Dean of Buckhannon and Logan Oldaker of Buckhannon; two brothers, Jimmy and Danny Oldaker both of Buckhannon; four sisters, Sandra Ball of Buckhannon, Susan Benson and husband Jerry of Buckhannon, Peggy Thorne of Philippi, WV and Mary Stuart and husband Gary of Philippi and best friends, Troy Gibson and wife Nina of MD and Terry Shreve and wife Karen of Glenville, WV. Mr. Oldaker was a Supervisor for Walmart. Scott was the best father, grandfather and friend a person could have in their life. Aside from being a great person he had a big passion for WVU football, basketball, nascar, and classic cars. Before his body weakened, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his son Travis. He made a lot of memories with many loved ones, several of which included cracking jokes and singing random inappropriate songs. Although his love for his family was great, he also had a greater love for anything strawberry related, peanut butter sandwiches, and of course chocolate milk. Although Scott may be gone from our world, he accepted the Lord into his soul and may now be free from the confinement he endured from his physical body. Rest easy "Putz." In honoring his wishes, he will be cremated. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
