Scott Walter "Scotty" Prowant

Scott Walter "Scotty" Prowant, age 59, of Wallingford, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at 8:40 p.m., after a long period of declining health.
Born on April 13, 1966, Scott was the son of the late John and Marylin Prowant. He attended Van Buren High School and spent his life doing what he loved most - working with his hands.
Scott was never afraid to get a little dirty. His shirts often had holes and rips, and even his good ones showed the wear of a man who never stopped working. At the end of the day, you could find him kicking off his boots and lying under a shaded tree, enjoying the quiet.
Scott was a collector at heart - of anything that had a motor or anything he thought he might use someday. He was a jack of all trades who loved to tinker, fix things, and keep his hands busy. Whether it was working on a new project down at the old school or wrenching on a new toy, Scott took joy in creating, repairing, and making things his own.
He was always up for a new adventure and lived life with a spontaneous spirit. Scott loved his Chevys, country music, and rock 'n' roll. He loved the open road, driving fast with the windows down and the music turned up loud. He lived life with energy and freedom, making the most of every moment.
Scott first shared his life with Jodi Businger, and together they were blessed with three daughters - Ashley Prowant, Rachel Prowant, and Summer Womack (Jeff).
He later shared 28 wonderful years with his former wife, Jennifer Prowant. Together they built a loving home filled with laughter, hard work, and many special memories. They were blessed with a son, Isaiah Prowant, who brought him so much pride and happiness.
Above all else, Scott was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother. He deeply loved his children and took immense pride in his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy and laughter.
Scott shared a special bond with his siblings. He was a devoted brother to his sisters, Debra Slaughterback and Beth Kellick, and now joins his beloved brother, Brian Prowant, in eternal rest. His sisters will forever hold close the laughter, memories, and love they shared with him.
Scott will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, love of the open road, and the simple joys that made life worth living. His family and friends will miss him deeply but find comfort in knowing that he has found his way home - reunited with his parents and forever in our hearts.
A celebration of Scott's life will be held at a later date.
The family asks that you honor his memory in true "Scotty" fashion - by turning up your favorite rock 'n' roll or country song, rolling your windows down, and taking a drive.
He will be forever loved and remembered by all who knew him.
