Obituary of Scott Rofofsky

Scott Rofofsky, 64, of Somers, New York, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Scott was born on January 29, 1961, in New York City, to the late Helene and Gerald Rofofsky. He was raised first in the Bronx and later in Scarsdale, New York, by his mother and stepfather, Eugene Bell.

Scott graduated from Scarsdale High School and then Jacksonville University in Florida, where he played college baseball. He was the longtime owner of SNA Hardware in the Bronx before later working for Richard Cuccia at National Maintenance Supply. Scott thrived during his days traveling throughout New York City, building trusted relationships with customers-relationships that often grew into lasting friendships. Scott was especially proud of his involvement with the Scandinavian Building Managers Guild, where he served as an Executive Board Member. In recognition of his dedication and service, the Guild established a special honor in his name: the Scott Rofofsky Associate Member Lifetime Dedication Award.

From high school through college and throughout his professional life, Scott formed deep and enduring friendships. He will be remembered for living by his convictions, keeping his word, and for his quiet strength and wry sense of humor.

In 1984, Scott married the love of his life, Carol Rofofsky, of Pennsylvania. They began their family in White Plains, New York, and later settled in Cross River, New York, where they raised their three children. Scott and Carol shared a lasting partnership of 41 years, building a close family grounded in love and laughter. Scott was blessed to see his family grow to include a son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and five cherished grandchildren.

Scott was a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished father-in-law and grandfather, and loyal brother, brother-in-law, friend, and colleague. His children and grandchildren meant everything to him, and he was deeply devoted to his family and friends.

Scott is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his three children, Michael Rofofsky, Kelsey Lingenheld, and David Rofofsky; his son-in-law, Pete Lingenheld; his daughter-in-law, Cami Rofofsky; his grandchildren, Ryder, Hadley, Brennan, Dawson, and Kaelyn; his siblings, Mindy Franzone and Matthew Rofofsky; sixteen nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 9:30 to 11 AM at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY 10536. The Memorial Service will be celebrated at 11 AM at Clark Associates Funeral Home.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Scott's memory.
