Scott Bryan Rushbrook

Scott Bryan Rushbrook, 64, of Penn Township, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at his home. He was born on November 13, 1961 in Clinton, OK, son of the late Harvey and Bevelyn (Walton) Rushbrook. Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Debra (Anderson) Rushbrook ; his sister, Connie (Andy) Vloedman of Weatherford, OK; two nieces, Mandy (Eddie) Dollarhide, Jessica (Matt) LeVick; and three great-nephews, Karsen Dollarhide, Levi LeVick, Luke LeVick; a great-niece, Lexi Lee. Scott was employed as a Joint Interest Accountant with Hunt Petroleum, Dallas, Texas. Later, he was a contract auditor for AMS PAR, Houston, Texas.
Scott immersed himself in his outside interests. In his late teens, with the assistance of his brother-in-law, a Camero was transitioned into a machine to be reckoned with. The
Oklahoma hometown police quickly pegged the garage where it resided. He hunted, fished, four-wheeled, golfed, played tennis and skied in his heyday. He bought into the
idea that better equipment promoted greater successes. He trained for and ran the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC in 1994. One and done. For several years,
he and a friend participated in a Texas 100 mile bike ride held over a weekend in the month of August. It is aptly named the Hotter 'N Hell Hundred (HHH). He loved music. He and his Texas friends played guitars and dabbled with recording sessions. Though his health journey was challenging, he trusted God was by his side each step of the way. Thanks and gratitude to the medical entourage that guided Scott's healthcare journey for 26 years. During that time, medical advice and direction involved family and facilities in three different states. Most recently our UPMC Primary Care Dr. skillfully steered us through the medical maze of additional specialists to coordinate further care. Thank you. The UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, Shadyside expertly navigated the treatment journey. The Medical Oncology staff including the surgeon and radiation oncologist proved so capable, personable and caring. The pathway was better because of each of you.
