Scott Edward Schiffer, long time resident of Covington, LA, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at home. Scott was born on January 26, 1964, in New Orleans, to Frank Schiffer and Patricia Dean, and raised in Bucktown. He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Schiffer and stepfather, Ron Cochran. He is survived by the love of his life, Allie Knight Martin, his son Mitchell Martin, his loving mother, Patricia Dean Cochran, and devoted brother and sisters: Steve Schiffer (Carla), Sandra Vogt (Mark), and Susan Nagim (Brandi), sister-in-law Lucy Meres (Joe ), and grandchildren Alexis Martin, Jayce Martin, Mitchell Martin, Jr., great-grandchild Raelyn Thibodeaux and niece Rachel Hryniewich. He also leaves a host of beloved uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews.
Scott will be remembered for his infectious laugh, bright smile and loving soul. He was very creative with his music, poems and still art dioramas “Spot on the Log”. He and Allie were known in Covington for their popular haunted houses and kids party events for many years. Also, Enchanted Aromas, their specialty candle business, is known throughout the country. For over 30 years, he has enjoyed his flooring work alongside his brother at Paul Sita Company.
Scott had a deep devotion to his Lord and Savior and we all know he has been welcomed into his Kingdom.
Family and friends of the family are invited to a celebration of life at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Lee Rd, Covington, La on Thursday November 13, 2025 with visitation starting at 12:30 p.m. followed by services at 2:00 p.m.
