Nena Faye Jarrell, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully left this world on February 25, 2026, in Covington, Louisiana, at the age of 67. Born on September 29, 1958, in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, was a steadfast pillar of her Lee Road community and an embodiment of warmth and love to all who were fortunate to know her.

Nena Faye's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to family and friends. She was married to her beloved husband Victor Glaze, with whom she shared countless cherished moments. Together, they cultivated a home filled with laughter, love, and delicious aromas, especially those emanating from Nena Faye's kitchen. Her baking skills were renowned for producing the most mouth-watering pecan pies and 7-up pound cakes, which she generously shared with her friends and community.

As both a devoted mother and a doting grandmother, Nena Faye took immense pride in her children, Julie and Lance Jarrell (Amanda), and her grandchildren: Chastity Rome Boudreaux (Alex), Victoria Gallaher, Alex Gallaher, Joelena Blackburn, Leo Papiska, Amellia Newman, and Taylor Jarrell. She was their biggest supporter, always present for milestones, celebrations, and everyday moments that brought joy. Nena Faye's love for her grandchildren knew no bounds, and her playful spirit was sure to brighten their days.

Beyond her family, Nena Faye found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, including participating in local Mardi Gras parades, which brought her unending delight. She also had a fondness for crafting, regularly engaging in cross-stitching and crochet, creating lovely pieces that warmed the hearts of those who received them. Nena Faye was particularly fond of her dog, Oreo, who was her loyal companion, sharing in all her joys.

Nena Faye will be deeply missed by her surviving family: her loving husband, Victor; her children, Julie Papiska and Lance Jarrell (Amanda); her brothers, Donald "Don" Jarrell (Maria) and Robert Douglas "Doug" Jarrell (Leslie); and her cherished grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her beloved parents, Alex "Jack" Jarrell and Julia "Nena" Jarrell, along with her brother, John Patrick "Pat" Jarrell, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
