Douglas “Doug” Koch, age 65, of Slidell, passed away on February 22, 2026. He was born on January 2, 1961, in New Orleans.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, Edward Gaubert Koch, his mother, Thelma Agerton Koch, his two brother Edward Koch, and Robbie Koch.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer Koch Smith (Jerred); his two bonus daughters, Sheena Buruz and Marguerite Parker (Payne); and his cherished grandson, Ashton Grant. Doug is also survived by his brothers, Steve Koch (Pat), Rick Koch (Marsha), Billy Koch, Chris Koch, and Mike Koch (Jean); and his sister, Thelma Brown.
Doug had a deep love for fishing and enjoyed spending time on the water. He will be remembered for his love of family and the simple joys in life.
A visitation will be held on February 28, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 LA-437, Covington, Louisiana 70435.
Doug will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
