Scott Schulze Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chism Family Funeral Home - Vine Grove on Mar. 26, 2026.
Scott Everett Schulze, 53, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, at Norton Women's and Children's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Scott never met a stranger, and his warmth and kindness touched countless lives. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome, and he was deeply loved by all who knew him. Above all, Scott cherished his family. His greatest joy was being "Papaw," a role he embraced with a love beyond measure.

Christmas was his favorite time of year -so much so that he often said he wanted to be Santa when he grew up. It's difficult to capture all the things Scott loved, because his heart was so full. He will forever be remembered for his generosity, his laughter, and the immense love he shared with everyone around him.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Robert and Shirley Catherine Schulze; his infant sisters, Tina Marie and Sheila Rae Schulze; his beloved mother-in-law, Diane Louis Moore, who he fondly described as "better than sliced bread"; and a brother-in-law, Michael David Moore.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Jennifer Lee Schulze; his daughters, Cassandra Ann Schulze (Terrell) and Sara Michelle Holbrook (Thomas); and his cherished grandchildren, Sophia MiaBella Holbrook and Mason Alexander Holbrook. He also leaves behind his siblings, Shannon Renee Erwin (Mike) and Charles Robert Schulze, Jr (Donna); his father-in-law, Richard Lee Moore; his sister-in-law, Amy Elizabeth Moore (Lou); many beloved nieces and nephews: Autumn, Jacob , Michael Jr., Jessica, David, Amber and Elena; and two fur-boys, Briar and Patch.

Scott will be missed more than words can express. His love will live on in everyone who knew him, and we take comfort in knowing he is waiting for us in God's eternal glory.

The family will receive visitors from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on March 29, 2026, at Chism Family Funeral Home in Vine Grove, Kentucky. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home. No graveside service will be held. The family will gather for a private remembrance.
