Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. Scott Michael Talley, 38, of Alva, passed away September 18, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. He was born April 9, 1987, in Orange, California, to Shawn Talley and Vonda Kenmore. Scott started high school at Buena Park High School where he was an Air Force ROTC member. He completed his senior year and graduated from Alva High School in 2005. After graduation he fulfilled his childhood dream and entered the United States Air Force where he served four years. He was a dedicated member of civil service engineering at McConnell Air Force Base and a beloved son, brother, and uncle. Scott was a devoted animal lover and had three German shepherds named Six, Rip, and Dutton. He loved dogs and dreamed of having an animal sanctuary. He would have rescued every animal if he could have. He loved the military, God and his country. One of his biggest passions was the outdoors. He loved camping, hiking, being a survivalist, and martial arts. He was a guiding light in hard times, offering a calming presence and unconditional support to those in need. He is survived by his mother, Vonda Kenmore, stepfather, James Williamson, father, Shawn Talley; the love of his life, Debbie Payne; sisters, Kristin Talley and Stephanie Talley; nieces, Elenor and Evelyn Fuller; nephew, Alexander Kletke; grandparents, Jim and Sally Williams, of Alva, and Harlan and Mary Kenmore of Anthony, Kansas; uncles, James Williams and Harlan Kenmore of Alva, Richard Kenmore and wife, Jess, of Canton; aunts, Becky Arbuckle and Kim Talley of California, and Amy Denwalt and husband, Jeremy, of Shawnee; cousins, Jon and Brad Williams of Alva; many more uncles, aunts, cousins, and beloved friends.

Hey it has been a long time. Wish we could have gotten to hang out more than the family reunion thanksgivings all those years ago. You will always be remembered. And from one vet to another. Thank you for your time.
