Scott Anthony Trapp (62), a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on May 13th,
2025, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
Scott was born on October 16th, 1962, to Judy Ruf in East St. Louis, Illinois. He was raised in North Texas
and ultimately graduated from Kansas State University. Scott's driving focus and the source of his peace
and joy were his wife of 26 years, Cheryl, and their son, Jake.
Scott was a man who valued an excellent work ethic, most recently serving as the General Manager of
Darling Ingredients, Bakery Feeds Division in Watts, Oklahoma. He was proud throughout his career of his
team members who demonstrated dedication to quality production and safety in the workplace. As an
avid Kansas State Wildcat fan and enjoyer of all sports and grilling, Scott loved sharing sports stories,
stats, and conversation with others.
Scott is survived by his wife, Cheryl Kay Highfill Trapp; son, Jacob Daniel Thomas Trapp; mother, Judy Ruf
Dupler; brother, Bryan (Misti) Trapp; sister, Amy (Tom) Brown; stepsister, Stacy Dupler; stepbrother,
Michael Dupler; nieces and nephews, Addie (Johnny), Tyler, Colton, Carson, Christopher (Johanna),
Ashleigh (Daniel), Robbie Rae, and Rebekah (Joshua); mother-in-law, Beverly Highfill; sister-in-law,
Dorene Highfill-Holmes; along with many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Scott is preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel Ruf; grandmother, Atheis Ruf; stepfather, Glenn
Dupler; and father-in-law, Tom Highfill.
Scott was a Christian and a good-humored, very loving man. His absence leaves a void in our hearts. To
commemorate his life and the memories we cherish, a service will be held at Community Christian
Fellowship Church, 525 S. Lincoln Street, Siloam Springs, AR 72761, on Thursday, June 5th, 2025, at 2:00
p.m. We welcome all who knew Scott to join us in celebrating the life of a man who was loved deeply and
will be missed

I worked with Scott during his time in Lubbock Tx at SunGold Foods. He was such a blessing and understanding friend during my husband's illness and death. I know his loss is felt by all. He was a wonderful man.
