Scott Norman Veith (64) passed away this November 25th, 2025, at home due to a heart condition. Scott was born in Syndey, NY, but grew up in Erie, PA before leaving to join the Navy at the age of 17, where he became an official Shellback, with other honors. He retired from the Navy and became a teacher, like both of his parents, Norman and Barbara Veith. He is survived by his mother, (Barbara Veith), sister (Susan Kilmer), and wife (Betsy Veith).
Scott worked in the Highlands County School District for 20 years, first at the Cloverleaf Alternative School, then at Sebring High School, where he taught math, co-coached swimming, and the track team. He retired and has spent the last 6 years between being at home in Sebring, FL and traveling the world.
In lieu of flowers, family is asking you to honor Scott by making a small contribution to Sebring High School Swim Team.
