Scott Eugene Visger
April 17, 1962 - February 15, 2026
Scott Visger age 63, of
Rice Lake, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at home. He was surrounded by the love of his family and friends after battling health issues for some time.
Scott Eugene Visger was born on April 17, 1962, to Gerald Visger and Linda Johnson in
Robbinsdale, Minnesota. After moving a number of times as a child, Scott ultimately landed in Rice Lake.
Scott was a member of the 1979 State Champion Warrior football team and graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1980. Scott attended the University of Wisconsin Center- Barron County Campus and the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in Rice Lake where he earned his certificate in Auto Body Repair. Scott worked for Viking Coca-Cola in Rice Lake for 37 years, working his way from delivery driver to the Branch Manager.
Scott met the love of his life, Brenda Jeane Vought shortly after graduation, and they were married in a beautiful ceremony on August 6th,1983. Brenda has been Scott's rock, his forever love, and his steadfast partner for 42 years. Scott and Brenda started their family in 1985 when their son Mathew was born. Their daughter Nicole was born in 1988. Scott shared his love of the outdoors with both of his children; they hunted and fished together all over Wisconsin.
The family spent dozens of summer weekends camping and boating. Scott pulled the kids on water skis and tubes for hours, then went back to shore, loaded up the tackle box and went to fish for dinner.
Scott's annual deer hunting trips started as a boy with his dad and continued with family and friends until his health made it difficult. Scott participated in the Field of Dreams Hunt Program, which "Provides Disabled Sports persons In Northwest Wisconsin The Chance To Pursue Their Outdoor Dreams."
Scott was blessed with a once in a lifetime whitetail hunt that he was accompanied by his daughter and a summer fishing trip accompanied by his brother in laws.
In addition to his love of hunting and fishing, Scott was a golfer, an excellent trap shooter and enjoyed curling and woodworking. He adored his four granddaughters and treasured the time he spent with them as much as they loved him.
Scott will be remembered for his easy laugh, and for the way he could talk to anyone and make a stranger into a friend. No matter where he went, it seemed that someone would shout a friendly "Hey, Scottie!" before engaging in a conversation about family, hunting or a shared escapade.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents and his Uncle Dennis. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his loving wife Brenda, his children Mathew and Nicole (Nicki) Visger, his beloved granddaughters Aubrey, Madelynn, Danica, and Lenna, his sisters Julie (Michelle Shelhamer) Visger and Melissa (Mitzi) (Jason Sprecher) Plumley , brothers-in-law Kevin (Robin), Tim, Darin, and Nathan Vought, family friend Dave Charron, aunts and uncles, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
No formal services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held in the fall of 2026 when we look forward to sharing stories of Scott's adventures and mischief, as well as memories of summer nights shared around the campfire.
