Erin Jean Visger, age 42 of Clayton passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Regions Hospital. She was born June 16, 1983 in Superior, WI to Rodney and Kim (Backlund) Visger.

After graduating from Clayton High School in 2002, Erin attended Pine City Technical College in Pine City, MN for one year. She graduated with a certificate of Independent Living for young adults with high functioning autism. She quickly made friends with other girls from Wyoming, Minnesota, and other areas of the country. She traveled with them several times to Wyoming and she enjoyed being independent. In 2019 Erin received a lifesaving kidney and pancreas transplant. We appreciate and love the family of the donor for making that decision, giving Erin six more years with us.

Erin attended Endeavors in Balsam Lake for several years. She quickly made friends with the staff and other residents, loving her time there.

A lover of abstract art, Erin spent hours drawing and doing crafts. She even shared her love of crafting with her nieces, Rylee and Parker. Of course we must mention her close bond with her beloved pup, London.

She is survived by parents, Kim and Rodney Visger; brother, Andrew "Andy" Visger (Angie); nieces, Rylee and Parker; her four-legged friend, London; and many aunts, uncles, extended family

Erin was preceded in death by sister, Beth Visger; grandparents, Dorothy and Marvin Visger, and Char and Ray Backlund.

An open house Celebration of Life will be held from 1 - 4 PM on Saturday, September 13 at Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake WI.

Skinner Funeral Home of Turtle Lake is serving the family.
