Scott Wedding Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory - Owensboro on Feb. 18, 2026.
Scott Douglas Wedding, 55, of Owensboro, went home to Heaven with his dad by his side on February 16, 2026. He was born January 10, 1971 in Owensboro to the late Hugh Douglas Wedding and Betsy Aileen Burns. Scott graduated from the Mattingly program of Owensboro and loved to volunteer. He volunteered daily at his sister's school (Audubon Elementary School), and worked at the Bingo Hall occasionally.

Scott was pure joy. He had the kindest heart and loved everyone. He was so kind to others. If you knew him, you loved him. Scott loved to draw and watch NASCAR, Golden Girls, and Little House on the Prairie. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cards with them. He also loved to go riding with his dad and sister. If you were sad, he would always say "I have big shoulders, you can cry on them."

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his other mom, Martha Wedding; and a sister, Stephanie Aileen Wedding.

He is survived by his sisters, Beth Nash (Greg) and Tammy Stewart (Emmett); brother, Randy Mullen, Lee Mullen (Mary), and Ronnie Mullen; two nieces, Jade Lily Nash (Kris Walters) and Amber Fowler (Bobby); nephew, Michael Stewart (Lisa); great-nieces and nephews, Madison Stewart, Brooke Stewart, Lexi Stewart, Michael Stewart, Annabelle Stewart, Heaven Fowler, and Emmett Clark; aunts, Mary Haffard (Joseph), Carolyn Jones (Jack), Deborah Lynn Gray (Richard), and Karen Hartweck (Joe); uncles, Arthur, James, and Louis; and numerous cousins and friends.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Opportunity Center, 1101 E. Byers Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42303.
