Scott Wilson Obituary

Scott A Wilson
Baldwin - SCOTT A. WILSON, 41, of Baldwin, Illinois, formerly of Alton, Illinois, passed away at 1:44 am, Sunday, February 22, 2026, at his residence.
He was born to the late Maurice and Monisa (nee Frye) Wilson on September 11, 1984, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Scott married Gay-Ann Blondell on February 14, 2017, in Wood River, Illinois; she survives.
Scott was a self-employed handyman and also enjoyed working on small engines.
Scott was truly at home outdoors, especially when he was by the water. Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing and enjoying the quiet of the river; his favorite getaway was St. Francois State Park, a place that held special meaning for him and Gay-Ann. A man of many interests, Scott was a dedicated collector of hats, sunglasses, and pocket knives-always prepared for whatever the day brought.
When he wasn't by the river, you could often find him around a pool table or enjoying his eclectic music collection, which ranged from 90's alternative to blues and country rock. Above all, Scott was known for his fun-loving spirit; he loved to joke around and had a knack for bringing a smile to those around him.
Scott is survived by his wife, Gay-Ann Wilson of Baldwin, IL; his grandmother, Carol Frye of Alton, IL; his two brothers, Josh (Sarah) Betz of Godfrey, IL, and Chris (Katie) Wilson of Godfrey, IL; his four nieces and nephew, Ashlyn Betz, Emma Wilson, Alison Wilson, and Trent Wilson; his one great niece, Adeline Waters; his dog, Briggs; many extended family members, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandfather, Rollin Frye; and his aunt, Carlisa Allen.
It was Scott's wish to be cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date.
