In Loving Memory of Scott Witz
July 27, 1973 – April 23, 2025
Scott Witz, beloved husband, loving father, son and friend passed away on April 23, 2025 at the age of 51. His life was a melody full of laughter, love, and music. Whether he was singing a song, whistling while grilling, or belting out tunes with Alexa, music was the heartbeat of his days and the joy he shared with those around him. He could turn any moment into a concert. His warm, steady voice was full of soul which brought smiles and laughter to everyone in his presence.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 20+ years Kelly (Sherman) Witz, beautiful daughters Evangelynn and Annaliese Witz and loving parents Richard and Alice (Miller) Witz. He also leaves behind Father-in-law Michael and Mother-in-law Diana Sherman, his Sister-in-law Molly and Brother-in-law Tom Reehl, nieces Olivia and Lillian Reehl, Aunts Janice (Johnny) Bradshaw, Christina (David) MacCudden and Linda Parker (Butch). He will also be remembered by his cousins Lisa (Jim) McAlister, Nick (Becca) MacCudden, Jim (Renea) MacCudden, David (Libby) MacCudden, and Brian Janusz, large extended family and friends. Scott is preceded in death by grandparents, Rose (Balistreri) Witz, Virgil Miller, and Mavis (Owens/Miller) and Calvin Snell.
A celebration of Scott's life will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Harder Funeral Home 18700 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI 53045, where we'll gather to share stories, memories, and maybe even a song or two in his honor. I've known Scott my whole life and have a lot of memories of him, but one, in particular, stands out. We were at a family gathering and my husband wasn't with me because he was deployed overseas. Scott thanked me for my service. I was taken aback and didn't understand what he meant. He said that he thanked me because, even though I was not deployed, I was serving our country by giving up a year with my husband so he could fight. He was the only person that ever said that to me. Scott was a kind soul and I will never forget that, or him. He will be missed. Rest in peace Scott.
