Daniel Jasso passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026. His kind soul and relentless humor will forever be missed by those who knew and loved him most.
Known as Dan or Mr. Jasso to most – and Papa Jasso to two special grandchildren – his commanding presence was always recognized, whether from his beautiful, booming baritone singing voice or his dry-witted (sometimes) funny jokes. His life was made whole by the unwavering love and immense pride he had for his three children: Todd Jasso, Mark Jasso, and Maria Jasso (Geoff Brennecka).
The family of Dan Jasso extends special thanks to all the staff in the Emergency Department, Neuro ICU and Neurology Floor at St. Luke’s Medical Center, as well as Aurora Zilber, for the compassionate and dignified care they lovingly provided in his final weeks.
We will gather on Sunday, February 22nd from 3 – 6pm at Raised Grain Brewing Company to celebrate Dan’s life. Please join us by wearing something comfortable, preferably with some purple in it, as it was his favorite color.
After discovering a newfound affinity for cats and proudly acquiring the label of “cat dad”, we would ask that in lieu of flowers to please donate to the Elmbrook Humane Society.

What kind of arrangement is appropriate, where should you send it, and when should you send an alternative?
