Scott Andrew Wood

Scott Andrew Wood, 66, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born July 30, 1957 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Ross Eugene Wood and Ruth McKinney Wood. Scott worked for Clark Oil where he was a manager of gas stations. He enjoyed woodworking and drag racing. Scott loved to have family cookouts where everyone was together and enjoying a good time.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Wood and Timmy Wood; and a sister Jessie Wood.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Kathryn Wood; children, Ross Wood (Amber Marlow) and Stephanie Wood (Elvis Simpson); three grandchildren, Shannon Wood, Scott Wood and Savannah Wood; one great-grandchild, Waylon Wood; sister-in-law, Myra Mitchell (Steve); and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2023 at The Father's House, 3031 Bittel Road, Owensboro. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church. James H. Davis Funeral Home is in charge of his arrangements.
