Scotty "Scott" Allen Cafego

Scotty "Scott" Allen Cafego , 45, of Hico passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2023 at CAMC General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.   Born April 12, 1978 he was the son of Dianna Carte and stepfather, Mitchell Carte and the late John "Johnny" Cafego.   Scott left behind his loving wife, Michelle Cafego; step-children, Andrew Wood, Alexis Wood, and his daughter, Alexus (of Shady Spring); step-grandchildren, Ada Bell (of South Carolina), Jaxton Given (of New Jersey), and Xander Wood (of Morgantown); son to his loving mother, Dianna Carte; his brothers, Frank (Andrea), John (Jennifer), and Mark Cafego; and step brother, Mitchell Carte; he also had several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.   Proceeded in death by his father, John "Johnny" Cafego; brother, Arley "Ray" Cafego; grandparents, Frank Easter Cafego, Nelson and Thelma Lanham; and step son Austin Given.   Scott was so full of life, he loved to tell stories and laugh among family and friends. One of the things he loved talking about was his passion of cars and if you knew Scott then you know he was defiantly a Ford man. He loved watching and playing with his step grandson Xander. He was such a sweet and considerate and compassionate soul. He had a true passion for riding his Harley with his wife Michelle. We will All miss his beautiful smile, company, and laughter.   Funeral service will be 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Michael Lanham officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
  Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home in Oak Hill.
