Ruth Lynn "Aliff" Morris

Ruth Lynn (Aliff) Morris, 79, of Oak Hill, passed away on March 19, 2026, surrounded by her

loving family, after a short illness.

Born on October 24, 1946, in Notomine, WV, she was the daughter of the late George

Clement Aliff and Ruth Brook (Kincaid) Aliff. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church

in Oak Hill.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David

Bradford Morris, with whom she shared 52 wonderful years of marriage; 2 sisters, Lenora

Wills and Lois Strode; and 2 grandchildren, Angel and Bradford Champion.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters and sons-in-law, Suzan and Phillip Piercy of Oak

Hill, Paula and Mike Fridley of Fayetteville, and Cheryl and Richard Champion of Oak Hill. She is

also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Eric and Alaina Barrett of Charlotte, NC,

Hannah Fridley of Morgantown, Ashley Fridley and her fiancé, Cole Houser, of Fayetteville,

and Brandon and Braxton Champion of Oak Hill; as well as her great-granddaughters,

Serenity and Amelia Barrett of Charlotte, NC.

Ruth is also survived by her brother-in-law, Tom Morris and his wife ,Barbara, of Winchester, VA; her sister-in-law, Patricia McIntire of Hurricane; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews,

and dear friends.

In honoring Ruth's wishes her body has been donated, and a memorial service will be held

at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you perform a random act of

kindness in Ruth's memory. The family is being taken care of by High Lawn Funeral Home in

Oak Hill.
