In Loving Memory of Sean E. Christian

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Sean E. Christian, age 54, of
West Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on April 30, 2025. Sean was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, son-in-law, brother, cousin, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. His warmth, generosity, and love for life will be remembered forever.
Born on March 16, 1971, in Derby, Connecticut, Sean was the cherished son of Kathleen Ann Collins and the beloved late James Alan Christian. Raised with strong family values, Sean carried those traditions proudly throughout his life and shared them with everyone he loved.
Sean was the loving and faithful husband of Joan Christian, his partner in life and love. Their bond was built on friendship, trust, and a deep commitment that never wavered. Sean adored Joan and often spoke of her with gratitude and pride. Through every joy and challenge, their love remained stronga true testament to what it means to stand beside someone, heart and soul. She was his rock, and he was hers.
He was also a proud father to his three daughters: Chassidy Lynn Christian, Alicia Dove, and Dyamond Dove. His children were his pride and joy. That joy deepened when he became a grandfather to his cherished twin granddaughters, Journi Santos and Jhene Santos, who filled his life with light and laughter. Sean also loved his nephew, Devaro (Andy) Taylor, whom he raised and regarded as a son.
Sean had a passion for cooking and found joy in preparing meals made with love. His creativity in the kitchen was one of the many ways he expressed care for others.
He was a lifelong music lover and could always be found with a tune in his heart. A loyal New York Jets fan, Sean enjoyed football, basketball, and hockeyalways cheering with full spirit.
He was a skilled stone fabricator and craftsman, specializing in granite countertops, tables, and custom stonework, leaving behind a legacy of fine craftsmanship.
Sean was also known for his incredible sense of humor. He could light up any room with his jokes, quick wit, and infectious laughter. His ability to make others smile was one of the many gifts he gave freely and often.
He is survived by his brother, Jim A. Christian Jr.; his aunt, Patricia (Billy) Nagle; and cousins Billy Nagle Jr., Christopher Nagle, Lori (Mark) Carotenuto, George Dreyer, and Michael DiMauro. Sean is also survived by a host of beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition, he is survived by his mother-in-law, Doris Drummond, and in-laws: Winston Williams, Leebert Williams, Donald Williams, Hermine Barrant, Patricia Briley, Cheryl Williams, Kareen Williams-Wildgoose, Wayne Williams, and Jermaine Carmichael
To know Sean was to feel welcomed, seen, and loved. His sense of humor, generous nature, and deep loyalty touched everyone around him. He loved big, lived fully, and left behind memories that will be cherished forever.

West Haven, CT on Tuesday, May 13th from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 397 Ferry St, New Haven, CT, at 11 a.m.
