Ronald Larue "Ronnie" Christian, 82-year-old White Oak resident, passed away early Thursday, July 17, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 27, 1943, in Tulsa to George Worth Christian and Golden Imogene (Bales) Christian. Ronnie was a graduate of Tulsa Will Rogers High School in 1962, then attended Okmulgee Tech. On September 19,1964, he married the love of his life Donna Rethman in Tulsa. Ronnie was a professional Oldsmobile Mechanic for 31 years, and worked for Dean Bailey Oldsmobile in Tulsa. He was a member of the White Oak Baptist Church. Ronnie was also owner and operator of Red Arrow Archery Shop. He was a competitive archer and won many awards across Oklahoma at archery competitions. Ronnie enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was working on restoring his classic 1965 Oldsmobile 442.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Carol Everhart in 2023.
The family includes his wife Donna of the home; two sons, Bryan Christian and wife Elizabeth, Mark Christian and wife Alice, all of Vinita; and one grandson, Matthew Christian of Vinita.
The celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel, Pastor Leland Bartlett will officiate. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita. Online condolences may be made at www.highsmithfh.com or the funeral homes Facebook page. Arrangements are in the care of the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Services of Vinita. "Vinita's only locally family owned and operated funeral home."
