Susan Elaine “Susie” Davenport (Ellis), age 68, passed away on July 22, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on May 20, 1957, in Lawrence, Kansas, Susan brought joy and warmth to those around her throughout her life.
Susan was known for her spunky personality and her caring heart. She had a zest for life that was infectious—always ready to have fun and participate in activities while ensuring that both she and her loved ones were well cared for. Her vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication made her an outstanding wife and mother to her three sons and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ferris Davenport; her sons George Davenport and his wife Chandie, and Denny Peters; her grandchildren Asher Davenport, Jessie Peters, Lance Peters, and Madison Peters; and her great-granddaughter Amelia Grace. Susan also leaves behind her aunt Martha Wright, sister Beth Williams, and brother Jim Bob Ellis.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert and Jaunita Ellis; her son Donny Peters; and cousin Delayna Dean.
Susan’s legacy lives on through the love she gave so freely to family and friends. Her memory will continue to bring comfort to all who knew her. A Visitation will be held on July 28, 2025, from 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Luginbuel Funeral Home 332 North Scraper Street in Vinita, Oklahoma.
