On June 29, 2025, we said our earthly goodbyes to a charismatic soul, Sean Lamont Cooksey, fondly known as St. Louis & Money, born on November 7, 1970, in St. Louis, MO, USA. Sean, a man who possessed an infectious smile that could light up any room, was an embodiment of love, joy, and support. His love for his family was as vast as the universe, a bond that could never be severed, not even by distance. He was a guiding star, casting light upon the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him.
Sean was a talented cook who found joy in the simple act of creating meals from scratch without the need for a recipe. His culinary skills, honed over years of practice in fast food restaurants, were a testament to his love for cooking. His unique ability to infuse love and warmth into his dishes made each meal a memorable experience. His life, like his cooking, was a blend of diverse experiences, from his birth city St. Louis, Missouri, to San Antonio, Texas. Sean's journey was not without challenges, but his unwavering faith and resiliency shone through his trials as per the verse in the Baptist faith, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).
Sean is survived by his loving family - his sisters Lisa Cooksey-Cannon (Barry), Teres Glover (Pernell), Gina Moten, Tia Baird (Mike);his daughter Paige Pitre; his nieces Amber Bridges (Haylee) Jasmine Haralson (DeVonte), Patrice Cooksey, Tiffany Cooksey, and Tonya Cooksey; his nephews Devin Young and Elijah Baird; his grandchildren; Peyton Cooper, Parker Cooksey, and Phoenix Cooksey; and his uncle Gordon Carnes. Sean was preceded in death by his parents Theodore Cooksey and Leola Patterson, and his half-brother Theodore Cooksey Jr.
We invite you to share your memories and photos of Sean, to help celebrate his life and keep his spirit alive. Please leave your tributes on his memorial page, where they can serve as comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved our dear Sean.
