Sean Francis Deal, 63, of Morton, Pa., passed away peacefully in the early morning of June 6, 2025.

A lifelong resident of Delco, Sean was born in Darby. He attended St. Laurence Grade School and graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School, Class of 1980.

Sean worked as a Union Painter for 17 years at Tanglewood Painting Corp. He was a member of District Council No. 21 International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. He was respected for his knowledge, skill and commitment to the trade. One of his favorite job sites was at Dunwoody Village Nursing Home, where he became a familiar and well-liked face among the residents.

Anyone who knew Sean will remember his quick wit, dry demented sense of humor, and larger-than-life presence. He was known for his good looks, his love for Philadelphia sports-especially the Phillies. So much so he proposed to Janice during a hot July home game. Sean had a soft spot for his fur babies.

Sean was a voracious reader with a head for useless information and fun facts. He had an appreciation for all genres of music. But his true musical passion was Led Zeppelin-he knew everything there was to know about the rock band.

Sean is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Eleanor (Brennan); his father- and mother-in-law, Al and Franny Pantaleone; and his sister-in-law, Eileen Deal (McKeever).

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Janice; his siblings, Kevin, Colleen, and Maureen Lennon (Jeff); nieces, Lauren, Meredith, Bridget, and nephews Jeffrey, Patrick, and Ryan.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Sunday, June 22, 2025 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Ruffenach Funeral Home 4900 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, Pa 19026 where his Memorial Service will follow at 6:00pm.

Interment will be private.
