Sean Thomas Mahoney

Sean Thomas Mahoney Groton, MA - Sean T. Mahoney, 20, died April 22, 2014. Born October 6, 1993 in Concord, MA, the son of Darcy and David Mahoney of Groton, MA. Sean was a graduate of Groton High School class of 2012. He was currently attending the University of Maine, Orono as a sophomore. Sean embraced his life with a passion and energy that never failed to endear him to all that knew him. Whether he was playing hockey, traveling with his family, playing with his best Irish dog Bailey or being with his many friends, Sean will quite simply be missed. Sean is loved and survived by his older brother, Patrick, who wants Sean to know when the shadows fall you do not walk alone and that he will carry Sean's laugh with him always. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Janet Mahoney of York, ME who taught Sean to never forget his shovel if he had to go to work. His maternal grandmother Kappy Sprenger of Bridgton, ME, who taught Sean how to swim with the loons. And from his other family and friends they say: Gra go deo.
