Sean was born in Lindsay Ca. Hospital with the help of Dr. Matthews. He lived in Porterville most of his childhood with his mom and dad and 2 brothers Ricky and Nathan. Sean and Rick were mostly home schooled but did attend John J. Doyle Elem. School in Porterville for 1yr.

The family moved to Arkansas when Sean was 12yrs old and lived there for 6yrs.

Sean and Rick attended high school there at Subiaco Academy in Subiaca Arkansas, He returned to California after high school and worked for Lowe's and Big Lot's in Tulare while attending Porterville College and College of the Sequoias to complete his AA degree and prerequisites for nursing. He completed the RN program at Porterville College and worked at Kaweah Health Hospital float pool mostly in ICU for 6yrs.

In 2017 he received his BSN from Aspen University. In 2021 Sean made the decision to do travel nursing and worked in Merced and Bakersfield.

Sean just recently applied for the CRNA doctorate program and had a interview appointment on Sept. 18, 2023. He was very excited and said there was a big chance he would get in this year. The program starts in January. On Sept. 10th he collapsed after not feeling well for about 4 days. He was taken by ambulance to Kaweah Health Hospital but after 2 days was air lifted to CRMC in Fresno. He was fighting for his life the entire time.

Sean lived in Tulare the past 17yrs. He loved to write, recored and sing his songs. He loved his 2 dogs Roxie and Roscoe, he loved spending time with his friends, and he enjoyed going to movies with his dad when a favorite movie was playing.

Sean leaves behind his parents Richard & Carol Maness, brother Richard Maness Jr. from Kenmore Washington, 2 half brothers

Nathan Clift from Tulare Ca. and David Maness from Hayden ID., 2 half sisters Debra Gutierrez from Visalia Ca., Shelly Butterfield from Fort Bragg Ca., and many nieces and nephews, 1 great nephew and 2 great nieces.

Sean was preceded in death by grandparents George and Joan Maness, Doyle and Daisy Emberson, Uncles George Maness and Jerry Emberson and a Aunt Verna Pearson.

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday Oct. 6, 2023 at Peers-Lorentzen (Rm 1)

Tulare Ca.

Chapel Service will be held at 11:00am on Sat. Oct. 7, 2023 at Peers-Lorentzen in Tulare Ca.

Sean, It has been 4 months since your passing and I struggle to understand what happened to you. I deeply miss you! I have to keep believing God has you in his keeping and I will see you again in Heaven. I prayed over you daily in the hospital for your healing but it was not to be. You are my precious son and you were a gifted nurse. You will always be remembered and in my heart. I love you. Mom
