Sean McAdam

Sean was effortlessly charming and had an easy way about him that made him a friend to many. He was not shy about telling the people he loved that he loved them.
He was an adoring father to Nathan, the love of his life. He was a fair to middling husband but an exceptional ex-husband. He was a brother to a sister completely enamored with him and a super fun uncle who was very strong and could throw you way high in the air. He was a veteran of the US Coastguard, Elite Platypus Team; Dad joke enthusiast and a pretty good cook.
Sean was inappropriate in the very best way. You had to be hyper vigilant when talking with him. Any slip of the tongue could and would be imbued with innuendo. See what we did there? We said slip of the tongue! See, it's funny because...well, nevermind. #SlipOfTheTongue #ThatsWhatSheSaid
Sean was a lifelong devoted fan of all things University of Kentucky. We feel certain that he would like to remind everyone that Rex Chapman is the greatest UK basketball player in the history of ever, Christian Laettner should have been ejected and UofL only has two NCAA Men's Basketball titles. Go Cats!
Sean was preceded in death by his father, Francis McAdam from whom he inherited his cocky Irish grin and his mother, Jean Clark McAdam from whom he inherited his disdain for most green vegetables.
He is survived by his son, Nathan McAdam, his baby mama ex-wife, Stacy McAdam, his regular ex-wife, Debbie McAdam, his sister, Kelley (Perry) Hudson, nieces, Audrey, Madeline and Lucy Hudson, several aunts, cousins, friends and his brothers and sisters at Louisville Fire and Rescue.
If you are inclined to honor Sean in some meaningful way, may we suggest a shirtless and unnecessarily unpleasant workout, enjoying a strawberry Pop Tart slathered in butter, perhaps learn a new word and work it into conversation ad nauseum (some of his favorites were copious, plethora, proletariat and behemoth), and finally let the people you love know that you love them.
Memorial visitation for Sean will be 3pm-8pm Tuesday and Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home - Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road.
