Sean Eric O'Kelley,
born August 13, 1966,
passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026,
in Tulsa, Oklahoma,
at St. John's Hospital
after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
He was 59 years old.
Sean was born to
Mildred Frances (Rutledge) O'Kelley
and Lonzo "Lonnie" Lee O'Kelley,
both of whom preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his brother,
Michael Derek O'Kelley.
Sean proudly served in the United States Army
for over 20 years,
from May 1986 to May 2006,
retiring after 20 years and 10 days of dedicated service.
During his military career,
he earned numerous awards and decorations.
Following his retirement,
he continued his service as a civilian with
NORAD/US Northern Command,
where he dedicated nearly 20 additional years.
He was a true patriot.
Sean married his beloved wife,
Carrie, in May 1987.
She stood by his side through
every chapter of life until his passing.
Together, they had three children,
who meant the world to him.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie;
his daughter, Kayla,
her husband, Owen Loden,
and their two daughters,
Kyrie and Cooper;
his son, Chayne,
and his girlfriend, Betty;

and Shannon O'Kelley;
as well as many nieces, nephews,
aunts, uncles, friends, and
fellow service members across the world.
Sean will be remembered for his strength,
his dedication,
and his sharp, sarcastic sense of humor.
He enjoyed the simple things in life,
including a good glass of iced tea,
and was especially proud to be a grandfather,
known as "Papa," a role he cherished deeply.
