Sean Sam

Sean Sam, 67, a longtime resident of Lowell, MA, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025. She was married to Nguon Phal, with whom she shared 44 wonderful years. Born in Battambang, Cambodia, she was the daughter of the late Som Roeun and Seng Nhem. She immigrated to the United States in March 1984 and became a proud U.S. citizen in January 2020. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family-especially her beloved grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters: Lyna Phal and Sai San of Oakland, CA; Sino Phal, Sophanny Phal, and Clara Phal, all of Lowell, MA. She also leaves behind her sisters Sarath Roeun of Cambodia and Sung Som of Lowell, MA. and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Monica Phal, as well as four brothers and one sister.
