Kenneth B. LeClair, 76, of Westford, MA, passed away peacefully Thursday morning July 10, 2025, surrounded by his family at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.
Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Raymond Joseph and Mary Alice (Collinge) LeClair. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond LeClair, Jr. Ken was a graduate of Chelmsford High School Class of 1966, where he was on the CHS Golf Team. He served as a firefighter for the City of Lowell on Engine 10 for 37 years, retiring in 1998. He was a sports announcer for the Lowell Spinners, known on WBCN radio as "Bomber on Sports", and worked as a cement contractor "Dumb and Bell" in his spare time.
Ken's love of sports, music, games and friends continued throughout his life as he often organized various tournaments around town, earning him the title of "Captain of the Lake." He loved his friends, sharing stories and making memories. He was an avid golfer, a longtime member of Nabnasset Golf Club, and was an active member of the American Legion Post 313.
Ken is survived by his three daughters, Kimberly, Jessica, and Emily; his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and John Strand of Texas; his five grandchildren, Jaydn Dodge, Fiona Baroody, Kolton Baroody, Kai Stephan-LeClair, and Christopher LeClair; and his two nephews Chad Jonathan Strand and Reid Kenneth Strand.
Kenny was loved throughout the community by many. A Celebration of Life will be held August 8th from 1-5pm at the American Legion, Post 313, North Chelmsford, MA. Please bring a dish to share. There will be food, an ice cream sundae bar, an abundance of music and singing, as well as a collection for a memorial bench to be installed.

I only knew him while in high school but he was a real character. Funny guy. He actually gave me my nickname which ended up under my picture in the 1966 CHS yearbook. Loved the guy. Rest in peace, brother until we meet on the other side.
