Sean Edward Tingey, known to us as Sean, born on October 14, 1970, in Washington, passed away on October 4, 2024. A resilient soul, Sean lived life with a spirit of adventure, compassion, and generosity that touched everyone who was fortunate to know him. An old saying goes, "Adventure is worthwhile in itself," and Sean truly epitomized this sentiment in his everyday life.
Sean was a dedicated steel fabricator, working in the manufacturing sector. He had an innate love for working with his hands, which was evident not only in his professional life but also in his hobbies. He was a man of great resilience who never shied away from a challenge. Despite the odds, Sean always found a way to turn his visions into reality, no matter how complex. His adventurous nature was matched only by his compassion and generosity. He had a big heart and was always ready to lend a hand to those in need.
Family was paramount to Sean. He was a loving husband to Marsha Bird, and a devoted father to his children, Emily, and Ricky Tingey. He is survived by his siblings Leland (Keli) Tingey and Diana (Lorie) Tingey. He was a beloved brother-in-law to Keli (Leland) Tingey and Lorie (Diana) Ferguson. Sean was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Ella Tingey, and his siblings Danilynn, Richard, Lila, and Joseph Tingey.
In the words of Helen Keller, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Sean's adventurous spirit, compassionate heart, and generous nature were the best and most beautiful things about him. They were felt by all who knew him and will continue to live on in our hearts.
We kindly invite you to share your memories and upload photos of Sean on his memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a comforting reminder of the life Sean lived and the love he shared.
