Selves John Olson
Age 75 of New Lenox, IL passed away Monday, September 16, 2024, at his home. Selves was born in Milwaukee, WI to the late Helmick and Myrtle (nee DuPont) Olson. Beloved husband of Sheila (nee Marschall) Olson; loving father of Chris (Sarah) Olson, Erin (Matthew) Jansen, Emily (Michael) Musselman, and the late Jonathon Marschall Olson; cherished grandfather of Nathan Jansen, Calvin Jansen, Leo Musselman, Dylan Olson, and Aubrey Musselman; dear brother of Steven (Marlene “Mugs”) Mears and Merry (Scott) Theis; loved uncle, cousin, and friend of many. He was also preceded in death by his foster parents Virgil and Carol Mears. Selves enjoyed playing golf with his friends, traveling, and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers donations in Selves' name to the EllieStrong Foundation https://www.elliestrongforever.com/donate-today.html would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 2:00 pm until the time of Memorial Service at 7:00 pm. Inurnment will be private.
