Serena Sorci Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 29, 2024.
Nicholville: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Serena Sorci, 51, on October 24, 2024.
Born in San Jose, California on October 16, 1973, she was the daughter of the late Sherrie Stutheit and Salvadore Sorci. Serena attended various schools in San Jose, Saranac Lake, and around the North Country.
Life was not always easy for Serena. She fought many health issues throughout her life, starting from birth when she was not expected to live. However, she always bounced back as her feisty nature would not keep her down for long.
Serena was a loving, strong and feisty woman who loved spending time with her family and friends more than anything else. She was also an avid animal lover and did not hesitate to take in strays any chance she got. She enjoyed taking care of her plants, camping, fishing, and four-wheeling. Serena had a big heart and would help anyone in any way she could if they needed it, even when times were tough for her.
Serena is survived by her son, Jordan Hosler (Jillian Jacobs) of Hogansburg; her companion, Ralph Douglas; a step-son, Brent Douglas; two brothers, Keith (Krystie) Sorci of Saranac Lake and Kevin (Shannon) Rowe of Wilmington, NY; her grandchildren Harlyn, Aiden, and Alesana Hosler, and Briar and Amberleigh Douglas; as well as her beloved nephews Nate, Logan, and Lucas Sorci.
She was predeceased by her parents.
There will be no public calling hours. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
