Sergio Alavarez Jr., of Southlake, Texas passed away on December 11th, 2022 in Southlake, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving faithful servant of God, husband, father, son, brother, friend and colleague to all that knew him. He was born on March 12,1982 in Grand Prairie, Texas to Sergio and Lourdes Alvarez. Sergio graduated from the University of North Texas. He was a bright light in the world and brought an immense amount of love to every person he came across. His wife Kathy and his children Jude, Grace, Ella and Jonah were his whole world.
He was the greatest and most loving husband and father. The love he had for Lord radiated in all that he did and in the way he treated others. Sergio could be seen on every soccer sideline, running on every CXC course or spending time making memories with his family. He was their biggest fan, loudest cheerleader and most comforting father. He is now cheering the loudest from the best view in the crowd. If you listen closely, you'll hear him yell, "Skills, skills, and last mile".
Sergio is survived by his wife Kathy Alvarez, Jude Alvarez, Grace Alvarez, Ella Alvarez and Jonah Alvarez, father Sergio Alvarez, mother Lourdes Alvarez, brother Victor Alvarez, sisters Claudia Pena and Maria Alvarez and numerous nieces and nephews.
In remembrance of Sergio's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to his children's college fund]https://account.venmo.com/u/Katherine-Alvarez-14

December 25, 2022

These times are very difficult I pray that God provides the family peace that surpasses all understanding. It´s painful, but there´s no pain Jesus can´t feel or heal and it may never go away, but God sustains us even when we don´t know how. Just a blessing to have known Sergio for a short time and I can remember him celebrating just as much as the young ladies when they won the ECNL championship. Stay prayerful.
