Sergio Arturo Sanchez-Vazquez, 26, of Harvard, IL and formerly Visalia, CA passed away on December 14, 2024.
Sergio was born on March 15, 1998, in Lindsay, CA, the son of Sergio Arturo Sanchez Alcaraz and Maria del Pilar Vazquez Magana.
Growing up in California, Sergio loved to go swimming. He enjoyed watching wrestling when he was younger and absolutely loved to dance. Music was his passion, and he delighted in not only listening to music, but making it as well. He was creative and artistic and loved drawing. Sergio did not have a mean bone in his body. He was kind, caring, and compassionate. He adored animals, cats especially, and rescued a variety over the years. Sergio liked to cook and play soccer. He loved video games, and it was his love for gaming that brought him and his fiancée together. More than anything, Sergio valued his time spent with loved ones.
Sergio is survived by his cherished fiancée Briana Palmer; his parents Maria and Sergio; siblings Elizbet, Joselyn, Evelyn, Angel, Michelle, and Paulo; his grandparents Santos, Juan, and Teresa; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Felix.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 4 until 8 PM at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.
