Serjio Lorenzo Griego, age 24, of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away on February 21, 2025. He was born on January 23, 2001, to Lawrence Griego and Leticia Duarte.
Serjio will be deeply missed by his father, Lawrence Griego, and mother, Leticia Duarte; his brother, Alejandro Griego; his paternal grandparents, Toby and Josie Griego; his maternal grandparents, Ramon and Marissa Duarte; his maternal aunt Cecilia Rosales and uncle Ed Duarte; his stepmother, Lotem, and stepbrother, Matan.
Serjio was employed for 2 ½ years at The Suites Rio Vista, where he formed strong bonds with those around him.
Serjio was known for his kindness, generosity, and deep desire to help others. He had a special way of making everyone feel welcome, always willing to share food and offer a helping hand. His loving spirit and protective nature were evident to all who knew him.
Serjio had a passion for reading the Bible, praying the rosary, and spending time working on outdoor projects with his grandfather. He was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus. His faith, love for family, and desire to make the world a better place was central to his character.
The family would like to express their eternal gratitude to Gladis Vera, Jennifer Regan, and Jolene Gutierrez for their unwavering love, support, nurturing, and guidance during Serjio’s life.
Serjio’s presence in the world was a gift, and he will forever be remembered for his kind heart, gentle soul, and devotion to those he loved. May he rest in peace.
