Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hanner Funeral Service on Feb. 2, 2024.
Seth Jordan Crowley (Blake) was born on January 24, 2001 in
Denton, Tx at the end of "the great ice storm". He was a beautiful baby with shocking orange hair that glowed like a halo around his head and bright blue eyes.
His birth, though unplanned, was a joy and blessing. He was a comfort to his great-great grandmother in her time of need. While she passed with severe dementia when he was 4, he was one of the few people she remembered. She would always ask for "that sweet little boy". He was a comfort to his great-grandmother when she was lonely and consequently she doted on him. Though she has memory issues now, some of her most talked about stories involve just the two of them. He was a constant companion and little buddy for the first 12 years of his life to his mother and a comfort through many combat deployments.
Seth is a 2019 graduate of Queen City High School. He graduated from Texarkana College in 2021 and was a student at TAMU-T, on track to graduate this May. He was an employee of Walmart at the time of his passing.
Seth had three younger sisters that he adored and was their confidant and protector. He used to say he prayed I would have them although he took that back once when they put cheese slices in his gaming system. He referred to them as "sister" when he spoke to them and was always so loving towards them. He was twelve when his youngest sister was born and he would walk around with her strapped to him in the baby carrier. He would watch TV with her cuddled up and asleep on his chest. He had many friends and was always quick to give advice or a joke or a smile.
He died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound to his head on Monday, January 29, 2024. He left no note. No one knew the thoughts or pain he hid behind his smile.
He was preceded in death by his biological father, Timothy Sean Crowley. He is survived by his mother and father, Larry and Amanda Blake of
Bloomburg, TX; three sisters, Sarah, Ryanne, and Emilli Blake of
Bloomburg, TX; brother Alexander Crowley of Deadwood, TX; brother Daniel Blake of Fayetteville, NC; grandparents Larry and Rhonda Blake of
Bloomburg, TX; Audrey and Terry Dahlman of wake village, TX; David and Denise of Portland, Washington; great-grandmother LaQuita Watson of
Dekalb, TX; girlfriend Kiia Anderson of
Atlanta, TX. He also leaves behind numerous completely devastated aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
