Seymour "Sy" Bromberg, 94 of Edison, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at the JFK/Hartwyk Care Center in Edison.
Sy was born in Newark, NJ, and lived in Edison with his family for many years.
He was a graduate of Weequahic High School.
He received his BA degree from Miami University in Ohio, and his MBA Degree at the Rutgers University, Newark Campus.
SY worked alongside his wife Rene as the owner of Promotions Associates/Promotional Looseleaf Company of Metuchen until he retired at the age of 91.
He was a lover of Opera, Politics, and Sports, and read the NY Times cover to cover each day (leaving the puzzle for Rene). But his primary interest was always the happiness of his family.
He was a member of Congregation Neve Shalom of Metuchen.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Joseph and Sarah (Kaufman) Bromberg.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 69 years, Rene, his two children, Amy (& David) and Jill (& Matthew), his 2 cherished grandchildren, Sara and Devra and his new born great-grandchild; Zakai.
Arrangements are being handled by the Flynn and Son / Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave. Metuchen, NJ 08840.
An 11 am graveside funeral services will take place Thursday, August 14th at the Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 189 Gill Lane Iselin, NJ 08830, with Rabbi Stephanie Gedan officiating.
Attendees should plan to meet at the cemetery office, Thursday, August 14, 2025 by 11 am.
Contributions may be made in Mr. Bromberg's memory to: Temple Neve Shalom, 250 Grove Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840.
