SFC (Ret) David Marvin Bailey, 74, passed away on December 1, 2023, at his home in Clewiston, FL.
Graveside Services with U. S. Army Honors will be held at 2:30 PM (EST) on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Mr. Bailey was born September 27, 1949, in Oceana, WV, he was the son of the late Bernard and Nancy Bailey.
Mr. B, as he was affectionately called, selflessly spent 20 years defending our country to include two tours in Vietnam. After serving in the Army, he spent the next 20 years working for the Florida Department of Corrections. Once retired he continuously served in the community helping veterans and others. He had a very humble and kind soul. He was a proud dad, pawpaw, and a friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ingram and Hattie Bailey, and Oak and Goldie Lamb of Wyoming County, WV; parents Bernard and Nancy Bailey of Oceana, WV; sister Linda Morea; and brothers-in-law Earl Stewart and Randy Kennedy.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, April Bailey, and grandson Ayden Pollard, of Fort Mitchell, AL; bonus son Michael (Lisa) Mullens, and three bonus grandchildren all of Mullens, WV; brother Bernard (Lakie) Bailey, of Oceana, WV; sisters Brenda Ann (Jim) Turner of Federick, MD, Alice Stewart of Matheny, WV, and Melanie Kennedy of Beckley, WV; and brother-in-law Richard Morea of Mt. Sinai, NY. And a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and colleagues that loved him so much. A special thank you to the Henry family and Linda Bohannan for their support and friendship throughout the years.
