Sgt Eric Michael Hogarth, 23, passed suddenly on September 15, 2025, in Havelock, North Carolina. Born January 25, 2002, in Lancaster, California, Eric was a very accomplished Marine, amazing father, the best husband, and the son every parent wants.
He is survived by his wife Madison, daughters Nala (2) and Brandy (7 months), parents Eric and Crystal, sister Cyrsten, Grandmother Christine Scott, Great Grandmother Charlotte Redmond, Grandfather David Hogarth Jr, aunts and uncles from both sides.
He was a loyal friend, an inspiration, he loved making people laugh and having the best time in every situation, and he was the kindest soul. Eric was the hardest worker and loved his job, KC-130J Flight Engineer.
He earned the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Air Medal - Strike/Flight, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. On top of all his hard work, Eric loved playing with his daughters, making his wife laugh, and building Star Wars Lego sets. As a youth, his passions were baseball, being a mechanic, and just having fun.
Celebration of life will be on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Lindquist's Syracuse Mortuary, 869 South 2000 West at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 at the mortuary. You are so deeply loved by everyone, Eric. Fly safe.
